1. yes.
2.  yes, but to a certain limit ( i think)
3.  Won't hurt anything I bealive but the sound won't be the best.
4.  If you want a lot of speakers on one amp first get a good amp.  Then I 
would get a "high power" speaker switch box to connect all the speakerz....
