I haven't seen that issue yet, so I wouldn't know.

There's many other instances of the language file (including the default that
I'm using) in the cfgs dir. I copied the default 'goldlang.cfg' to my
golded/etc dir so it was in the same directory as my config file. So yes,
backups are covered already.
