  When I went through Washington, DC on Amtrak in a "memorial
trip" for my late wife...first for her funeral in Florida (where her
parents live), and a return trip within the last 2 years...as the train
pulled out of Washington, the Conductor quipped "if you don't inhale
too deeply, you won't gag from the stench of Washington".
