I've been in touch once recently with Wes.  He is very busy right now
concerning work.....  And I'll try to avoid pushing too hard his direction
right now.....

We need to set up a standard for branching in CVS.  We need to keep the
main branch usable.  But I also want us to check in code when get some
fixes in but don't have time to get everything done....  In those cases, we
need to branch the fixes and post notes here about where we are at.  Since
there are now at least three of us using the CVS archives and checking in
updates, we probably need to come into an agreement on this, and decide how
we're going to handle things.

Have you played with branching on the sourceforge site?  I haven't yet....
