According to Monty Python's Daily Llama Bibliography,
"some LP versions of this recording include the infamous third side;
the second side of the album actually has two separate grooves with
entirely different material recorded on them; listeners will hear either
track depending on where the record needle is placed; subsequent pressings
did not include the third side:
So my guess would be go for the original 1973.
