It's a matter of taste I know, but you should see this thing, it came out
real nice! I guess it's birch, and it smoothed out very well going down
to the 1500grit and a bit of elbow grease. I took my time but still
could not get every scratch out, but it's not noticable unless you
reflect light off the stock into your eyes, and people seldom view that
shallow angle. I 'finished' it with a light coat of thin oil, and with
the silver barrel, action, and scope it looks quite pretty. I would not
have beleived it on a bet. :-)
Now I just need to finish the set screws I'm using as trigger stops.
CO>barrel is going to vibrate some, even a .22 barrel. If it vibrates the

Okay, as long as it's consistant. Just goofing around, I found that
it'll put almost anything into a nice tight penny sized hole at 25 yards,
and that's with my crappy shooting, and some yahoo blasting away with a
.44 2 stalls down. Anything that is, except the CCI Stingers. They
opened up to about 1&3/4" from their previous 3/4" to 1" groups in the
factory barrel. I think the twist is faster, and it's upsetting the
stability.
A nice suprise is that the Remington Viper, previously lousy grouping in
the factory barrel, is now a tight grouper. Between that and the
Winchester powerpoint, I've got a good set of ammo to work with. Know of
any 45gr .22lr?
CO> JS> from the stock to the barrel, and thus changing the angles ever so

barrel, o
CO> JS> just giving it a single point to rest on?
CO>DON'T. Any variation in how tight each of the screws might be is going to
CO>affect how the gun shoots. Better to just nicely open up the barrel
channel
CO>and let the barrel do what it wants.
Okay! It's a lot less work too! :-) Thanks for the reply.
