Well, one of the guys ain't answering yet, but I wanted to respond.

Ain't no such thing as a generic subwoofer plan, since every sub is
different, it may require a different cabinet with more volume, port
size, etc., etc., than the generic speaker you plan to use. A 12" is
small potatoes for a home theatre subwoofer. When you purchase the
speaker and have (hopefully) the Theile paramaters, then you might be
able to come up with a cabinet design with those values to plug into a
speaker box program or doing the math by hand.
