| subject: | Australian USR Courier x2 upgrades |
David, at 17:58 on Feb 24 1997, you wrote to Russell Brooks... RB> Outside this period, the upgrade will cost $50 RB> (includes $15 shipping & handling) [ ... ] RB> Modems upgraded onsite at USRobotics Pty Ltd RB> 473 - 479 Victoria Street West Melbourne 3003 DD> Well, that stuffs that. What do I use while my modem is in DD> Melbourne. Didn't I post the registration form back??? I'm rather more curious as to why USR Australia physically require the modem for the x2 upgrade, when it's nothing more than an addition to ALL future SDLs, but activated by an encoded "key". Perhaps it's simply a blatant attempt to justify the exorbitant $50 fee? Oh well, nice work if you can get it...
