For Maximus under Linux, we already have max running in a mode that support
telneting to the BBS running on it's own TCP/IP port.  This is a barefoot
maximus with out a front end mailer......  Wes has this running, but I'm
still hitting some glitches in my test system.....

Wes is currently working on getting the serial port option working under Linux.....
