SIO (a 3rd party serial port driver under OS/2) has a VMODEM option as part of the package. It turns serial ports defined by SIO into "vertual" serial ports with "modems" attached that in reality are connected to telnet (and vmodem) TCP/IP ports..... telnet to tophat.darktech.org and you will hit my implementation....
