In a message on Sunday 02-20-16 Maurice Kinal said to Holger Granholm:
Good morning Maurice,
HG> BTW, a moose (in amlish), is the same animal as an elk (in
HG> english).
MK> That confuses me. It seems to me that in Swedish an alg is a moose.
Correct insofar as moose is the name of the animal i american english
(=amlish), but an elk in UK english.
I confirmed that by looking up „lg (alg without the umlaut on a), in a
swedish/english dictionary.
Have a nice day,
Holger
