MH> The only thing on headlights that annoys me is the certain ones that get MH> that yellow haze and fog over. I did find a really great kit for fixing MH> that, however. 3M has a kit that will basically grind off that layer and MH> make them sparkle and be clear again. MH> MH> I did this to both our Durango and my daughter's old car. Mine doesn't MH> suffer from this problem, thankfully. My Monte Carlo headlights look as MH> good as they did when I bought it. MH> MH> Not sure why some headlights do that, unless they are being made in MH> China. I think some of the plastic housings are softer. I noticed this on a honda accord that I bought in 2002. My oldest daughter wacked the front driver's side trying to merge onto 695 from York Road in Towson. Needless to say, she didn't see the pickup truck in front of her that was stopped. Well the body shop put a new headlight bucket on and then a couple of years later I noticed one was clear and the other was almost frosted. I just think it's from being sandblasted and oxidation. My VW Gti had some really hard plastic that looked like glass, much better product. It will be interesting to see how the Ford lights hold up. I will get a second set when I do my HID retrofit so I can take my time and not have to have the car apart too long. You have to take off the front bumper to get the headlight buckets off on the Escapes. jah --- WWIVToss v.1.50* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 953 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
