subject: GCC for OS/2 version question

Bob!

 BJ> Wes:

BJ> The German File Distribution network just dropped a
BJ> complete copy of GCC 3.2.1 ported to OS/2 (i.e. the
BJ> OS/2 EMX port) on my system. Would this be a
BJ> reaasonable version of GCC to attempt to compile the
BJ> Max / Squish code with? If so, now I need to find a
BJ> script execution that works with this version of GCC
BJ> (on OS/2), since the initial shell configure script
BJ> won't run on OS/2.... Hmmm.... Wonder if GNU make
BJ> was included in that binary.....

BJ> Grrrr.... The install routine needs something call
BJ> REXXUTIL... and I'm not finding that on my system.....

Noticing this as well as the below..

 BJ> Take care......

 BJ> Bob Jones, 1:343/41

Where did it come from to start with? I noticed it in the daily inbounds
to the HOBBS site and jumped on it to get it. It arrived, but the file
that is on the HOBBS site shows to be a defective archive! There was no
info file with the drop on HOBBS to let one know from whence it came, thus
no place to send a comment that the upload to HOBBS got grunged!

If I knew another site that was broadband and from whence I could get it
this is one I want!

Thank you ..

--> Sleep well; OS/2's still awake! ;)
