Yeah, theoretically. It alternately shut down one bank of cyl and then the
other by shutting off the spark and fuel injectors. Theoretically it would
still pass air through the intake and exhaust valves to cool the non
firing-injected banks. I wouldn't put much trust into such a system,
unless somebody was shooting at me.
