-= Pete Replied to Daniel Lowe about: Call Waiting =-

G'day Daniel

RB> If you have call waiting enabled and you are using the modem
RB> when a call comes in the modem WILL disconnect.

SA> Not if you have the modems set not to :)

DL> what do U mean ? I hearing somewhere that you can get a comm
DL> program that can pick up the call waiting signal and therefore
DL> you can switch during a call. Is that what you are talking about
 DL> ?

AFAIK Once the modem is in a online state call waiting beeps will be
interpreted as just line noise, Modems that can't handle line noise
will hang up but not because the've been told to look out for call
waiting beeps.

     Pete.
