Ed, EV> DS> It's getting so I may need a map to find my way around the house. :P EV>I couldn't resist. What You said is now a TAGLINE, Thank You! Tagline procurement isn't thievery. It's research, art, and science. EV>Of course, You and Mike have been friends for a long time and Mike may EV>Delete My access to The Capitol City BBS after seeing this message, EV>OR EV>if You sent a personal note to Him suggesting what He should do about Me. Nah, Mike and I have known each other when we were both in the GT Power Network. He is the last Sysop that I know of, still running GT Power, and under OS/2. We're also co-moderators of the FIDONet WEATHER echo (Mark Hoffman does WX_TALK). I don't know if Mike's a meteorologist, or just a weather geek like I am...who did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. EV>After the Credits at the end of the show You would see a Robotic Hand EV>reach for the A.C. Cord and pull the plug out of the socket. There you go. EV>I looked at the QSL Card picture You have on QRZ. EV>It looks like You are holding some 'Sticks' in each of Your hands. Actually, it's a Conductors ticket puncher in one hand, and a special made ticket in the other. The special ticket is on the commemorative certificate one gets for checking into the D-Star Trains and Railroads Net. Unlike other nets, where you have to check in X number of times, you're eligible for it after the first checkin, and via an email request. It, like 2 other D-Star Nets that I currently run on Reflector 26A, from the British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada) Frequency Modulation Communications Association (BCFMCA) on the US Trust Servers, will be MOVING to the QuadNet Array (www.openquad.net) in May, 2019, as follows (I will be on X-Reflector 757A (XRF 757A) for all of them: 1) QCWA D-Star Net. Currently at 5pm Eastern Time Sunday. It will MOVE on Sunday, May 5, 2019. It will remain at the same day and time, but we have to be done by 6:30pm Eastern Time, to make way for the Young Operators Digital Voice Net, hosted by 10 year old Danielle, KE8JNU. She got her Technician license in late April, 2018...and upgraded to General in June, and to Amateur Extra in July...she was only 9 at the time. One does not have to be a member of the Quarter Century Wireless Association to check into the net. I also do their CQ100 Net on Friday mornings. 2) D-Star Trains Net. Currently at 8pm Eastern Time on Friday. It will remain on the same day and time, but MOVE effective Friday, May 17. The net discusses anything and everything about trains and railroading, has a railroad trivia question, and offers a commemorative certificate in PDF format via email request, after the first checkin. 3) D-Star Food Net. Currently at 8:30pm Eastern Time Monday. It will move to 8pm Eastern Time on Saturday, effective May 18. The net the previous Monday, May 13, will be CANCELLED. H.A.M. stands for "Have Another Meal", and you don't call us "Late For Dinner" (or I guess you have to wash all the dirty dishes (hi hi)). With hamfests, Field Day, etc. you MUST keep the operators, vendors, and visitors well fed. With the QuadNet Array, users of DMR, D-Star, WIRES, and System Fusion, can access the nets. I'll also have checkins available, starting on the "moving days" in the nets Facebook Group, and via email. If one has a hotspot, all they have to do it set it to X-Reflector 757A, and they are good to go. I have created a PDF file, "Connecting To The QuadNet Array.PDF" in my D-Rats shared folder, for folks to download, with more information...or they can send email to wx4qz at arrl dot net for the file. EV>You are wearing a Railroad Conductors costume in the photo. EV>Are the 'Sticks' something to do with Trains? See my comment above on that. Daryl, WX4QZ (Whistled Crossings For Quiet Zones) === þ OLX 1.53 þ I just got lost in thought.
