Skeptics Except whatever Klass dishes out
1976 Tehran Sighting as explain by Klass
The double quotation marks indicate parts of an article aimed at
debunking this sighting written by Klass. A skeptic ripped it
out, never researched the claims and put it in front of me
claiming I was a FTB. What it shows is how gullible these people
are and that it is their willing acceptance of these works, which
makes than no better than a FTB.
"Perhaps the best indication of how seriously the U.S. government
was concerned over the incident and its implications is that a
copy of the classified copy of Mooy's memorandum was leaked to
NICAP soon after it was received in the U.S., and most of the memo
was published in the November 1976 issue of its 'UFO
INVESTIGATOR."
It is interesting to note that another sighting in Tehran 2
years later, was submitted in accordance to a specific recording
style imposed since this event. Hardly necessary if the event was
not taken seriously. This DoD report states:
'The above information is submitted in response to DIA DB-3B2's
evaluation of IIR 6 846 0139 76 dated 23 September 1976.
Questions listed in the evaluation cannot be answered by this
office at the present time. Any further information that can be
obtained will be forwarded.'
Another DIA report states:
'This current report is the third UFO sighting in Iran in less
than a year (this is 78 not 76 now). Originator comments:
Previous reports on UFO sightings in Iran have been forwarded by
IIR'S 6 846 0139 76 MSG DTD 230630Z SEP 76 and 6 846 0380 78 DTD
780708 (numbers difficult to read), further information will be
forwarded when obtained.'
These are two other independent documents which show clearly that
the government was still interested.
