Also, as I've recently learned, a FAT snaffle may not always be the best
choice as some horses' mouths are too small to accomodate them. I've used a
French snaffle with Fiddle, and also a fat loose ring. They both seem OK.
I'm still searching for that "perfect" bit for her. Tried the rubber, D-ring
also, and that didn't seem to quite do the trick. She's reall fussy with her
mouth, although she's getting better. I have a medium loose ring that was
Thistle's .... I might use that on Shiloh, as the copper roller snaffle I'm
using on her is a little too thin for my taste.
