Well, it may be just semantics that Sprint PCS bills itself as "Wireless" not
"Cellular", but
   1) Carriers like Ameritech Mobile, Cellular One, Cellulink, etc. use one
      tower at a time thus the "cell".  PCS usually will be connected to more
      than one making for smooth handoffs and fewer dropped calls.
   2) PCS uses more towers because the maximum range is smaller (although
      building penetration is better), and because of the built-in
      overlapping for the above smoother handoffs.

With regular cellular, you sign up with either the a or b carrier and when
you roam the connection you make is to equipment from a different company.
Each location charges their own roaming fees back to your carrier.
With PCS, you sign up with one carrier (here it is either Primeco or Sprint)
and can only use your phone within the areas where that carrier has licenses.
Primeco has licenses in 6 states, Sprint all 50.  "No Roaming" is the term
that Sprint uses also.  Because you are using their equipment wherever you
go, they term it as being in your "Home Service Area" or not.
When you sign up, your "Home Service Area" rates are defined in $/mo equals
a number of minuets free /mo plus so many cents per extra minuet, plus long
distance etc.  What does Primeco say the charge is when you are not in your
"Home Service Area"?, with Sprint it is 50 cents per minute from and to any
where in the USA with no additional long distance or acess charges.
