Remember those heady days of yesteryear
when everything was so clear and our heros 
unsullied?

Things are so different today, or are they?

Ronald Reagan sent billions of dollars to the 
mujahadeen in Afghanistan to drive out the evil
occupying Soviet empire 

Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden were our favored sons
back then and we were so innocent.

Today with America's help Al Qaeda flourishes,
Osama bin Laden is still fighting jihad
and only the nationality of those dying in the sand
differs.

Of course what's really important here is big oil,
the military industrial complex and corporate America
prospers.

President Eisenhower had something to say about this
strange state of affairs long ago but it seems no-one was
listening :-(
