Just to let you all know that today, even though it was fairly 
revolting, didn't eventuate as the experts thought it might, the wind 
was a little less strong and the cool change arrived ahead of 
schedule.

The temperature climbed to 43.2 dgs (c) at 1pm, and the whole 
southern half of Tassy was under smoke cover, the winds made 
breathing a bit difficult, the fires still are burning out of 
control, and the three main ones have merged into one huge one.

Someone else was caught lighting fires today.

We're not out of the woods yet, with the temps expected to climb to 
the mid to high 30s by wednesday again.
