Hmmmm.... I think we may be mixing some things up here.

I know max prompts for up to three lines for files uploaded. I have few of
those these days. My new files mainly come in via file bones, with .TIC
files. I believe I'm breaking lines so that the lines in FILES.BBS are no
more than 80 characters. The locate command is definately searching more
than the first three lines, but I suspect you are correct about max not
searching more than the first 1024 characters of a file description. At
1024 characters, I believe the file description would be over one
"page" long on my normal 80x24 character screen setup.....
[continuation lines have a fair amount of inserted white space for display]
And locate is find stuff in the 12th line in this setup. Yes, the F)ile
command, given a specific file name or searching for new files in a given
area will only print the first line of the description. L)ocate will print
the full description. The F)ile command with no limitations prints
everything, so you see the full description that way....

 RJT> Ok.

Are you running the additional lines as continuation lines, with the proper
character in the proper starting column?

How long are your file description lines? Are you using the method that
puts the information all on one line instead of the way I'm doing it?

Thanks.
