While there might be advantages to living close (sleeping an extra 15 minutes comes to mind), I generally do my final wake-up en route. I'm awake enough by the time I leave the house to be safe driving, but by the time I'm at school, I'm actually able to talk coherently. 'Course, by contract, I have to be on-campus by 7; school starts at 7:30. Bleah.
