I'd be interested in comments regarding the relative
merits of Ensemble/New Deal Office versus the new
Microsoft "Home Essential" suite which includes Word,
Works, Money, Bookshelf and Explorer (the MS web browser)
all on CD for Win 95 available everywhere for about $70.
I am buying a computer for my daughter who is 14 and
likes to write. She doesn't care about computers at all,
just wants to be able to use them to get something done.
Looking to the future, I think I might be doing my
daughter a disservice by getting her involved with
Geoworks. (maybe not, I'm undecided)
Over the next five years as PC's grow ever more powerful
and inexspensive whatever hardware advantage Geoworks has
in being able to run on limited equipment becomes more and
more irrelevent.
Also the business and professional environment is Windows
dominanted and becoming more so.
