Hi Libby,
KK> Ruth...Hello...well, you've been back on line with your FIDO longer
KK> than us. Kurt had installed a new modem and then we were having
KK> problems with the connection between us and the sysop. The sysop said
Whew! I'll bet you're glad that's over now. It was good to have Kurt
help you out; I had to call in a local guy (who was a big help) who I
point off of now.
KK> I hope that David and Rachel do get to stay in AZ but its anyone's
KK> guess as to where they'll really be. They probably won't know until
KK> after David graduates from Basic training. Will he do his basic
 KK> training at DM?
I didn't know they did Basic at DM; the main one I know of is Lackland,
in Texas. That's where everybody I know around here heads. They are
also somewhat interested in Warner Robbins AFB, near his family but we
have no idea right now where they will end up.
KK> There was a lot of time when we had to stay off the computer too but I
KK> didn't mind. I don't think we ever lost our power last summer but we
KK> did have lightning within a quarter of a mile from us several times.
KK> I wanted to get under the bed but didn't. I survived. The temp today
I think our power is a bit less stable than yours. I just habitually
shut down all systems whenever they're not in use during the summer. I
*know* there were some strikes near us & don't want to ruin the
electronics. Are you a bit scared of thunder? I grew up in the
Catskills where the legend is that thunder is the ghost of Henry Hudson
& his crew playing ninepins (read Rip Van Winkle).
KK> I'll keep my fingers and toes cross that your hubby will be home on
 KK> the 25th.
Thanks. We're down to 15 days now,
KK> Will Rachel go into the service as well after she graduates from high
 KK> school?
Rachel is out of high school; she's the one getting married. I serge
basted the lining of one of her bridesnmaid's dresses to the crepe de
chine today. It's amazing; I hought I cut the pieces identically but
there were minor variations.
Deborah is debating going in the military after high school or going
thru college and ROTC there while in the Reserves.
KK> Ah, well now you know where I am and when you have the chance; stop
KK> by. Crafters Express is a craft mall with a lot of great things for
It sounds like it's definately worth stopping in. Right now, other than
the airport, I'm not sure when we will get up there again. What do you
have in the line of sewing related stamps? I'm collecting those.
KK> I'm glad that you aren't rushing on the dresses. That would be too
KK> much stress for me. I'm sure that the girls will look beautiful. My
KK> mom made my wedding dress 15+ years ago. It turned out great and she
KK> had time to make two dresses for herself.
The pattern isn't as hard as it looked except for a few spots. By
starting with the girl's I'll be well experienced on them when it comes
to doing Rachel's. Hers is the same pattern but longer and more
embellished.
KK> Take care and stay out of trouble. Hahahahahaha!!!
Yeah, right! (G)
Catch you later,
Ruth
