BA> Sees as if far too many "bills" come in the mail to me too. If you
BA> ever forget who you are, just look in the mirror and notice that you

I looked in that mirror today and it broke. I wonder if it is
trying to tell me something.
BA> If they are in a regular pattern, like ever 3rd or 5th, for instance,
BA> I would say that they are there deilibrately for shifing aid. I take
You are right about them being in a regular pattern. I think
they are about every 1.5 inches apart so then they might be
there deilibrately. That is what I thought but I wanted to get
some input from others here. I am learning much on this list
 from everyone else.

When I called them lugs I meant teeth but I could not think of
that descriptive word the other night. The medications that I am
on are still causing some problems with my short term memory evey
now and then.
e actual structure of the chainring is suspect then you
BA> ought to replace it lest you have a catastrophic failure. However,
BA> even then, it would just throw your chain, not like throwing the chain
BA> on the rear into the spokes, possibly making you fall off the bike.
BA> Obviously I haven't seen it, so I can say no more.
I really do not think that it is a flaw in the chainring as I
have not ridden it that hard to cause any stress cracks. I have
never paid this much for a bike before so I treat it like a baby.
I have not even let any of the other officers ride it.
BA> Just get well soon so you can get back on that bike and enjoy it. I am
BA> now doing just that myself after over a month in a sling after a
 BA> shoulder dislocation.
With you being off the bike like me you know how hard it is to
watch someone else out enjoying the wind in the face and the
feeling that you have after a relaxing ride. I am still looking
at at least another month before I will be riding again and it
will probably be another year before I am back up the the same
level of riding that I had done before. I hope that I don't
forget how to do some of those special moves that I use when
patroling the parks. I was just getting to the point that I could
do a power slide on the grass but I will not try that again right
away.
