Hahahha, talking about computer speakers, I was using the lil white Labtecs.
You know, the ones that come with the SoundBlaster or you can buy for like 10
bucks. At that time, I didn't really care much about computer sound until I
got into games and stuff. Then I saw my friend's comp system and really
wanted one. Hahha, so i asked my dad and he dug up a Onkyo reciever from his
closet somewhere and I took the speakers from my old car taht I wrecked
(another story) and put them in and had big sound from my computer. Then my
dad bought me a pair of Polk bookshelves and I put them in, but then I tried
them on my dad's system for the surrounds and I thought they were much more
suited there because my dad had these really cheapy rear spkrs and the Polks
really improved the sound there. I just connected the old rear from my dad's
system to my computer. Now, I get pretty decent stereo sound and am happy.
I'd rather have this then waste 100 bucks on a set of "computer" speakers
just so that they will be white and I can put them next to my monitor (which
I don't want to do anyway). They probably wont even sound as good, even with
a subwoofer. Well, that's just my story.
