I'm not saying that there aren't programs named by idiots on the PC, but
things like "network monitor" or "pagemaker" or
"photoshop" or "control panel" or "advanced admin
tools" are pretty clearly named.
The world today is a bunch of windows users, if you want to attract them to
Linux then it's important to make them feel comfortable with it. One of the
things we (me, antti, etc.) find uncomfortable about KDE and Gnome is that
the names are like something out of an alien movie. And I think everyone
here knows that's a really simple thing to fix even if you just use
symlinks with better names.
