The point is that by holding a few people in a room and explaining his
plan did not cause an entire country to elect him. He was a very
dynamic speaker and could have been a great leader if he hadn't gone in
the direction he did. He spoke to the fears and prejudices of many of
the people by playing off the hatred of the Jews and the fact that most
people want to feel superior to someone else. People also need to have
a reason (other than themselves) why they are not rich and successful.
