Hi space voyeurs!
Their futile attempts of abduction failed miserably! Actually when they
found out I really didn't know how to fly their shiny spacecraft they
dumped me back here.
So did I miss much? Between rebuilding my stone lathe and moving the
rest of the shop I have had zero time to even think astronomy or crank up
my computer. Now I'm going to make time to stay in contact.
I got some questions this time. First, gonna try for Stellefane this
year. Anybody here going, and what are the fees and contact numbers? Next, I
need the addy for a firm that does re coating. My cave 8" f/5.6 and
diagonal need to be shined up. Any recommendations for a good aluminizing
and overcoating?
Third question, I want to sink some pipe in concrete in the back field
for an observatory.
The final structure will resemble a small barn with (if I can find it
cheap!) a silo. My wife will get her garden shed and I'll get my star room.
The first step will be of course picking the site. Once completed I'll want
to do traditional wet photography(no digital pleeze!) Well that's all for
now clear skies! Ron
