I haven't used XP yet. This weekend windows 2000 crashed. (Gates again!) I
had to reformat  the HD and also re-partitioned the HD. Windows 2K repair
consol didn't work well in this case. I finally made a boot disc from a win
98 system. DOS doesn't  work with NTFS files. So I downloaded a  ME
bootdisc with a late version of fdisc. I was unable to remove all the
non-DOS partitions completely. The solution was to download a program
called "wipe" which loads zeros onto the first 6GB on the HD. I
then repartioned using WIN 2K and then reformatted with NTFS. Then after
downloading 20MB of Micro-Sloth fixes the system appears to be stable.
