Alvin, Supra hasn't hidden that fact that some of the SupraFax modems will do
33.6 and some won't. I don't know how much time you've been reading in this
echo, but I'm sure you'll see every couple of days this problem being
addressed.
It has to do with your datapump used in your modem. Some of the Supra's have
the newer, others have the older. The newer one will do 33.6, the older one
will NOT. It's as simple as that.
Supra has an upgrade policy for those modems which won't do 33.6... and it's
cheap IMHO. I have a modem which will do 33.6, so the 33.6 upgrade has been
even cheaper for me!
There are other things which have been improved in the flashes. The fact your
modem accepts the flash doesn't mean you can connect at 33.6.... what it
means is that your modem can use the newer rom. It also means that you can
take advantage of some of the changes associated with those roms.
