Hey Benny! Dec 30 13:49 06, Benny Pedersen wrote to Maurice Kinal: BP> tested on alpha so ? Nope. Aren't Alpha's big endian? Might be an issue with inbounds/outbounds if not careful. Anyhow EM64T is little endian so I haven't noticed a problem. Mind you I am not positive about 32-bit big endian systems in existance. Was HP-UX ever 32-bit? Was there ever a 32-bit Alpha machine? I recall very early on that DOS was big endian but that never survived long probably due to the PC architecture. I just built a new 'package' of the source I listed in the other message for my new virtualized EM64T system I am currently typing these messages from. What version of glibc are you using? I might be out of sync there. What might be a better idea is to start some chatter about a purely Fido based distribution aside from the current distribution system. That way Husky could truly claim to be Fido friendly aside from the sourceforge thingy. ;-) Life is good, Maurice --- Msged/LNX 6.2.0* Origin: The Pointy Stick Society XXVI - Dazed and confused (1:261/38.9) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 261/38 123/500 379/1 633/267 |
