if FigureXP is written to take advantage of the locality settings in your
OS, then it may very well be why it'll only take a comma as the decimal
seperator... AIUI, many places in europe use the comma for the decimal
seperator instead of the dot... i'm also wanting to say that their roles
are reversed from the way that the US uses them...

ie: 1,042.075 one thousand forty-two point zero seven five
1.042,075 same thing in many european places (not totally confident,
though)

in very very layman's terms... basically, "type mismatch" means
that a bucket designed to hold liquid is holding sand... liquid being one
"type" and sand being another... that's an extremely loose
analogy but i hope it works... the real details get a lot deeper and have
to do with the different data types that computers can store thing as...
another quick example, a number can be stored signed ( +1 ), unsigned ( 1 )
or as text ( "1" )... they may all look the same to you and i but
to the computer, they are very different...

i'm sure that the author will be looking into it and working on a fix...

what numbers do you have? it may be interesting to see them in several
programs... i've gotten to where i run the numbers thru several of the ones
available... sixtests windows version, figure45, figureXP, and i'll even
take the surface output from sixtests and run it thru jame's lerch's 3d
visualization program... it does an ok job but still needs more work and
refinement...
