RT>Can telnet to it, using WIN98 "telnet, putty also works fine, tho Linux RT>telnet seems a bit slow. RT> Yeah, I have this same problem with the logon delay RT> after the user enters a RT> password. Does anyone else? Yes.... RT>Will make an attempt to connect to sourceforge later on and see if I ha RT>working and can compile a newer version, which hopefully works better. RT> Let me know how this goes, okay? I believe the sourceforge update won't help. One from a week or so ago didn't help it. I need to review my comments back to Bo and Wes when they originally set up their systems to see if I can find what I haven't done that they have done, and see if I can pin down where this problem is. If we can pin it down, we can fix it. It is probably something going haywire in the MEX or mecca file processing. The MEX VM is totally busted. And I think that some of the mecca files haven't gotten needed changes made yet.... And in the back of my mind, it may be related to missing mecca files or compiles in the original Max 3.0 or upgraded (3.01 and later) max distributions on OS/2 (and the other platforms? (DOS, Win32)).... I seem to recall hiting something when I last loaded Max from scratch under OS/2..... It's one of those things you find, reconfigure, and forget about because you do it once when you first bring the BBS up..... But that's just a guess of where I think the problem is. I haven't brought over my OS/2 mecca files to the Linux box yet for putting my local touches on stuff..... I suspect the hold up is in this area..... Based on timing, I suspect something is timing out for a response, probably on a processing a display (mecca based or ?) that isn't being displayed correctly right now.... Take care.....
