As I sit in front of my 128 on 20 May'96, I read Bob Davis's words of
wisdom..
BD> BD> that? How did you place the page number on the page?
JP> Bob, in my ignorance, I do not think that the page numbering has
JP> anything to do with this snag.
Well, as I would like to get some guidance here, I can say that
I have a "HEADER" and the page number has been pushed to the right
corner of it. I can see the extra page in "Print Preview". If I use the
spy glass on the numbers, I see: 43, 44,45 then again 43.
The "page break" was done after 44 with a "section break"
together. It should have given me just "45". Which of the PB or SB
should be first? I tried both and did not see a change. I was under the
impression that a PB would allow me to format (margin) at will on the
next page without this rigamarole of the extra page.
BD> Please answer the question, if you want some help.
Robert, a little kindness is of the order here. I am of French
education and sometimes still miss a form of sematical expression that
would carry my thoughts to the very defined point of the argument. I do
want some help but long distance "boiling" serves no purpose. This
said, I appreciate the time and effort that goes on here as in many
other echoes. I would not be on a putor if this information was not
shared so valiantly by people like you. My hat is off!
BD> So you had a hard page break and a section break, one after
BD> the other? What kind of section break? There are several
BD> types.
Are you still with me? Fine. I did the PB, then went to "Page
Setup" and changed the margins. It gave me a choice of (in the right
hand corner) "the whole document/from this point on". I selected the
latter, from this point on. This is when I get the extra page.
Thanks for you devoted attention.
... I greatly appreciate QWKRR, but I do not use it all yet!
