subject: Digital pulse stream monitoring

Hello,
I am an electronics tech. in US Navy, therefore due to circumstances
cannot be specific on this one.
I would like to "bust" a developers transmission on this "box"
that is claimed to be immune to interception/data interpetation by
common radio listeners.
This device will transmit on less than a total of 6 frequencies
and includes a digital pulse stream of information. I don't know if
the information is repeated on all frequecies or if the info. is
split up on the different frequencies.
I can fairly easily, I think, figure out the frequencies by using
some monitoring device ie. spec. analyzer or scanner with computer
connected (although I have no scanner experience).
Somehow I need to be able to read the digital stream and read
it's very short amount of information.
The person who has this "box" needs to be "brought down a notch"
in my opinion because he's a little to sure that this digital stream
is unreadable by anyone.
Will be picking up E-mail out of digital cottage in New Orleans during
holidays. Will be going to San Diego after 4 January and wonder if there
is a shortwave echo that I can dial up locally from there with Procomm.
Best Regards during holidays to all
                                     mike
