We don't have cats down at our end of the ranch.  We use to have one

I think Smokey steals because he's bored, greedy, or he thinks its
funny.  He'll take things out of your back pocket then stare out into
space like he's completely innocent.

I can really sympathize with you about not being able to ride.  I
really hope you get back to normal quickly.  I hate not being able to
ride especially when the weather is nice like it is now.  Smokey is
teaching one of my friends to ride so he is getting enough exercise and
she takes care of his stall since I can't
