| subject: | Re: ATM ETX60 = Finderscope?? |
From: "bill kocken" To: "atm list" Reply-To: "bill kocken" I'd thought about doing this, too. Some ideas I had; 1.) Mount the ETX down towards the altitude axis where it's weight will not make so much difference. 2.) You could fashion rings out of large enough diameter PVC pipe. In fact don't bother with 2 separate rings, just use a 4 or 5 inch length of PVC pipe and drill and tap the adjustment screws through the PVC. It wouldn't be as pretty or light as a set of expensive manufactured rings, but hey, this is an ATM forum, right? My question: Can the ETX OTA be removed from it's fork mount and be replaced without harm if I decide to return it to it's original home?
