The "beartracker" has nothing to do with trunking, and was not
what Rd was talking about.  The "beartracker" was a silly 
attempt by Uniden to provide speeders with an alleged
warning of where the police was, by monitoring frequencies
used by vehicle extenders.
It did not work for that purpose worth a flip.
The TRUNKTRACKER is Unidens product that will follow conversations on
a Motorola trunked radio system, produced by Uniden for themselfs and
Radio Shack.
I did however, follow your point about digital.
