I stand corrected.    and Thanks!   :)

It was the file manager that I use, that had me fooled.   Heck,  ... I've
used it for so long that I may have forgotten what I knew...  

FEBBS seems to have limit on how many characters it will put on one line,
when editing files.bbs.  After that, everthing else becomes comments.

When using Max search, either F or L, I'd learned that Max would not search
the comment part of the file description, but only what amounted to the
first three lines of the description.

Just for the heck of it, I used Edit on a files.bbs.  Moved all the
comments up, to be one looooooong line on the same line as the
filename.ext.
Now, when searching with Max, it can find any word in the description!
I believe this is what you described in your reply.

I just looked around in the config of FeBBS, and didn't see a way around
its description line limit.   Need to review that a little closer....
