Years ago when I had my 80' Malibu, I found myself in that position many
times. In the rain, snow, cold, in the work parking lot, etc.

I had a slowly failing starter and about 25% of the time, it wouldn't even
crank at all. I had to get under the car with a pole and hit the starter a
few times - and then it would start. That is loads of fun in dress cloths.
Never seems to happen when I'm wearing old ratty cloths.

RW> Sounds like it.

I do know the new radiator is aluminum. I took a good look at it today.
The overflow was actually low, so I added some coolant.

Pep Boys figures they will pay for the majority of your towing to get your
service business. They normally charge $39.99 to any Pep Boys location,
but with my Pep Boys club card it is only $19.99.

That tow was about 20 miles or so. Not bad for $19.99. :)
