-=> Quoting Jean Parrot to Bruce Clark <=- JP> I was trying yesterday to import a .doc file to BW as an added JP> part to a message. Darn if I could do it. I tried all the options in JP> (F)ile and when on the proper one, it could not find the file. It is JP> there in the main BW folder ! Is there another trick to this. F1 did JP> not help me at all. Do they have to be .txt file ? That is part of your text editor, not part of BlueWave. Were you doing a Reply, or an original message? I know how WordStar does it, since that is the text editor I use. I open a second window, mark the text I want, go back to the first window and copy the block from the 2nd window over. They are DOS "windows," not to be confused with the ones Windows uses. WordStar splits the screen into a top and bottom part, with the MSGTEMP.TXT file on top, and the other file on the bottom. WordStar also has an "Insert a File: Ctrl-K R" (hold down ctrl while pressing K, then press R). This brings up a list of file names in the BlueWave directory. Of course one can change directories to select a file from another one. In WordStar, the function is under the Edit feature, not under File, and remember, you have to be working on a message, even if the message is blank. ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: BBS Networks {at} www.bbsnets.com 808-839-6036 (1:10/345) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
