I have  a yellow nape and dont' know his subspecies. "Elton" is a long term 
import but will eat off a syringe. Maybe he was handfed in quarantine or is 
just a hog...
Elton is a large bird, weighed 572 gm a while back but I think I got a little 
weight off him this year using Pretty Bird daily light.
He is a male, has burgandy at the bend of his wing or just on the underside 
f
the bend, has a yellow front on his head and a small yellow nape patch on the 
nape of his neck and has a greyish beak. Can you tell me anything about the
subspecies he might be? I want to find a hen for him so badly.
