though it does seem to take a while to get across the border! Dunno why... I
know more music from Africa than I do from Canada. Go figure.

ooh I love to be "with it" before anyone else gets it
I loved U2 when October came out... kept telling everyone "these guy's are
awesome! They're going to be HUGE!" and everyone was saying "huh?
Who?"

Female acts have been huge for a while now. Easily categorized means easier
to market, and musical style firmly in middle-of-the-road moves faster than
a group harder to pin down. Great Big Sea is a wonderful mix of
rock/pop/irish trad. and mod. (etc) which just about equals radio death in
the US, and while they're all a bunch of good looking guys -- they're too
old for the squealy under-highschool girls which means they don't have
longevity with the critical youth market, and the college crowd is
notoriously fickle. (though they're often the ones who get these bands/ppl
any attention in the first place)

Cool then... will probably pick up Road Rage and Sea of No Cares

You are :) I try not to pester those who are quiet... figure they're like I
am when I'm quiet (over-worked, over-stressed etc etc) and so don't want to
bother them... but I do think about them!

*hug* glad to see you here again :)
