Female acts have been huge for a while now. Easily categorized means easier to market, and musical style firmly in middle-of-the-road moves faster than a group harder to pin down. Great Big Sea is a wonderful mix of rock/pop/irish trad. and mod. (etc) which just about equals radio death in the US, and while they're all a bunch of good looking guys -- they're too old for the squealy under-highschool girls which means they don't have longevity with the critical youth market, and the college crowd is notoriously fickle. (though they're often the ones who get these bands/ppl any attention in the first place) > > So which would you recommend. > > something representative.
