Reveal codes is a crutch for Wordperfect users.  You don't need it in Word, 
but you have to become comfortable with how word does things.  It does not 
embed codes inside the documents between the characters where you have to 
worry about their location.

She probably does not know how to work with Word. What control does she need 
that she is missing?  Wordperfect 5.2 was not really that brilliant as a word 
processor.  I would be surprised if there was much it could do that Word 6 or 
7 cannot.  Now Wordperfect 6+ is a different story.

Why not?  You must be using the native wordperfect drivers, one of WP's 
dumbest moves in Windows.  If you tell it to use Windows printer drivers, it 
should be able to print fine to the inkjet printer.  Oops, this is the Word 
support echo.  I can't help myself.  I was a Wordperfect user for years.
