Never have I been so miserable as to have been right about so much in the Bush administration. I started out critical of Dick Cheney's secret energy policy *knowing* it was a setup for war but not being able to make myself quite _believe_ people from my generation could repeat Vietnam. Now the same back channels that informed me there was no WMD in Iraq and no Iraqi ties to Al Qaeda informs me the Bush administration is repeating the Vietnam _exit strategy_ scheduled for right after the midterm elections. Only this time they intend to withdraw U.S. ground forces outside of Iraq while continuing to provide the Iraqis air support. I have serious doubts it'll work for various reasons. Well, Osama bin Laden got what he wanted, the U.S. out of Saudi Arabia and the promotion of Al Qaeda into a major leaque terrorist network of considerable worldwide influence. Congradulations George W. Bush, "Mission Accomplished." Osama's mission. "Bring 'em on", they did and now 3,000 dead American servicepeople and 20,000 wounded and maimed for life. Now for the economic realities of the record federal budget deficit to set in on the fools who supported this administration. You have to give the fools a couple of years to wake up to reality, just like in the case of the mythical weapons of mass destruction. --- MultiMail/Linux v0.47* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 379/1 633/267 |
