  One of my Visiting Sysops asked me if I had heard anything, and I told
him to ask Janis Kracht...that if anyone would know, she would. Well,
that Sysop emailed me, and according to Janis "Bill passed away some
time ago". So, if the details are wrong, then it's Janis who is at
fault. I'll netmail her, and ask for confirmation. The Visiting Sysop
was wanting to know, as he was getting mail, etc. from Bill's system,
and hadn't heard from him in a long time...let alone seen him in the
echoes.

  As a note, I saw a post of confirmation from Janis in this echo on
that.
