Recently I had to get a finder for a telescope I was building. Astounded by
some of the prices for simple 50-80mm finders I found several sources of
adequate optics for the job. I thought these might be of interest to anyone
else faced with the same problem. This is all new stuff, not used.

a Celestron 60mm refractor for $40:

This company, Heartland America, was selling an alt-az 4.25" reflector
for $50 a week ago. Their sales come and go and bear watching.

10x50 binoculars for $20. While not great binoculars, they will give you 2
finders for less than one would cost from the telescope companies.
