I said before that I can imagine cases where money is not the most
important, but independency can be. Moreover, adaptions could be in
applications as well, not necessarily in the OS.

And, if you're responsible for a couple of servers and a few hundred
desktops, believe me, MSFT makes it really attractive to run a license-free
OS.
